High Pitch/ hoge stemming checklist

Wat is High Pitch

Allle instrumenten worden tegenwoordig zo gestemd  dat de A is ingesteld op 440 of 442 Hz is. Tot ergens in de jaren 70 speelden harmonieorkesten in een 'hoge stemming', die een kwarttoon hoger (dat is voor de A circa 453 Hz) is dan normaal. Bij veel instrumenten uit die tijd wordt de stemming op het instrument vermeld. Normaal is dan  "low pitch" of "L" en hoge stemming 'High pitch"of "H".

Pink tableau collectie (pinky table collection)

When the Timis Solist pinky table looked a little familiar to me, I decided to make a collection of pinky table photographs and find out if the table design is some kind of  signature of the factory. Conclusion was that the Timis pinky table looked a lot like the VKS pinky table. So I presume this Timis can be made in Germany instead of Romania.

Het klankverschil tussen een saxofoon en een basklarinet

Met het gratis programma Audacity kun je spectrum analyses maken van opgenomen geluiden. Dat kan zo goed dat je het verschil tussen verschillende instrumenten kunt onderzoeken of het verschil tussen een basklarinet en een saxofoon.
