New bass clarinet mouthpiece design
One of the disadvantages of the standard bass clarinet mouthpiece is that it is big. The main cause of this is the large diameter and the small angle of the table that is only 5 to 6 degrees relative to the centerline.
The parametric mouthpiece model offers the possibility to modify the table angle and width of the table to create an alternative mouthpiece. This resulted in the first prototype: the BX19x.
The mouthpiece had a very common tipopening of 1.9mm and a facinglength of 26 mm. The table-angle is 10.5 degrees instead of 5 to 6 degrees. This resulted in a quite different looking mouthpiece.
Uebel Bass clarinet mouthpiece 1.8
I have had a few of these nice Uebel bass clarinets to low C that have the smaller bore that is used on German bass clarinets. One of the bass clarinetes even had a straight bell. They come with a mouthpiece that is a bit smaller than the standard Böhm bass clarinet mouthpiece, has a small tipopening of 1.1mm and needs a reed that is close to the alto clarinet reed.
I decide to design an alternative.

Saxofoondop
Binnenkort hier een te downloaden:

Voor de C-melody is een alt saxofoon dop toepasbaar.
Een print in PLA is prima wel moet de temperatuur hoog genoeg zijn om voldoende stevigheid te bieden. Zelf print ik op 240 graden.
